I have a 2006 F250 S/D and it has started to leak oil from the top of the motor on the passengers side runs down the bell housing on top of the starter then the trans line just a light stream anyone know what has happend or what i need to do to get it fixed.
Thanks
Could be a couple of things....rocker cover, oil pressure sensor/o-ring, might be the ICP but I have my doubts it would flow that far back (plus you'd see it on top of the valve cover). Also could be oil leaking from one of the turbo lube lines.
It's possible, but you'd have a hot start issue...I'm pretty sure if it's leaking out the back of the engine it wouldn't start once the truck warmed up.
You don't thank it would be the high pressure oil pump
It might be the high pressure pump cover but not the pump itself. Check the blue CAC elbow tube at the turbo for a crack/split, turbo oil supply and drain lines, and the oil pressure sensor. Might be spilled oil from an oil change. Those are the only places on top of the motor I can think of. On the passenger side you could have a valve cover gasket or glow plug harness o-ring leaking.
