08 back up camera

08 back up camera
when I put the truck in reverse i get the blue screen for a couple seconds
then goes out. i checked power @ the camera and I do not have any. Any ideas? Checked all the fuses and they are good. Can I run 12 volts from the trailer connection to check it? Is there a way to hook the camera up to the uplander switches?
