Thanks I agree 100%! Question, if the 03/04 have no scoop how does the up pipe connect to the EGR cooler (or cooler delete in this case)?

With egr delete, and no egr, the cel will come on. Anyone have a decent way to defeat that? PA has a "no cel" policy on inspection.

Leave the EGR in place and plugged in.

Special Ed the 03/04 up pipe still has the same flange to connect to the EGR cooler but no scoop. The scoop that everyone here (05 and later) is referring to is inside of the up pipe and redirects a portion of the flow thru the EGR cooler.

You'll have to use an 04 up pipe, not an 03. They are different because of different coolers and different cooler connection lengths.

Oh yep forgot about that npccparts man. I have an 04 with an 11/03 build date. I have the oval shaped intake and not the horseshoe shaped one. So I guess I have the 03 up pipe?

My 03 had No Scoopp just for those that are wondering

You should get better turbo response with the scoop Gone

But if you leave it it wont b e any worse that what you have now

changing that up pipe is a little more work is all

You should have an 04 motor in that truck. I have a 10/03 build date truck that came with an 04 motor. The motor or the intake manifold must have been replaced in your truck at some point.

NO, you have an 05 up-pipe. The difference in the 04 and 05 up-pipe is the presence of the scoop in the 05 pipe. The fitment is the same even though they have different part numbers.

I just called Ford and had them run the VIN. The build date is actually 8/03. I have the 03 oval intake.
