Here are some parameters where the 6.0L can/does defuel (some are model year dependent and caliration level dependent):
Defuel at 221 *F ECT (coolant temperature): PC/ED manual - page 1-34
Defuel at 253 *F EOT (oil temperature): PC/ED manual - page 1-34
Defuel at 4000 rpm's : PC/ED manual - page 1-13
Defuel at 95 mph: PC/ED manual - page 1-15
Defuel at 28.6 psig boost (possibly also need to be at or above 75 mph also)
Defuel when the fuel level in the tank gets very low (well after the low fuel light comes on - calibration level dependent).
To start: The PCM needs to see 100 rpm to start. 500 psig (HPO pressure) is required to start which is around 0.82V to 0.84V (depends on what manual you read - some say 0.8v)

Would love to hear from techs on the accuracy of these numbers (many times the PC/ED manual has mistakes).
Also would love to see more of these "control parameters" posted up!
The statue of limitation hasn't run out yet, so I can't give details of where/when/how long. But I can confirm an '04 2WD (5R110, 3.73LS, LT265/75/R16E) will defuel at 95 mph in stock form. A TomTom GPS confirmed 95 mph as the actual ground speed; though the speedometer was showing 98mph.

Good info as always, Mark. Reps sent.
I can confirm that my '06 with the latest calibration WILL start when battery voltage is below 11.5. Way below. Definitely not recommended, but it started.
My voltage drops into the 10.x range when cranking. Time for new batteries?
Maybe, but mine gets really close to the high tens when cranking, and my batteries are brand new. But that's just reading the PID on the Edge Insight. A guy probably should read that voltage right at the batteries while someone cranks it. Or better yet, a load test tells the real story.

Ditto- Mine will hit 10.5 for a second or two while cranking, (according to the SG). It then sets at 11.5 until the GP's shut off. I also have brand new batteries.
Oh and Thank you Mark!

Reason: For got to give props...
Is defuel the same as when the wrench light comes on while towing? I had that before I changed the oil cooler. Limp mode I think is what someone called it...
