Why is my edge evolution chip messing up

I borrowed a buddys evolution and every time i tune my truck it kills all horsepower until i take it off. Whats the deal?

You need to be WAY more specific about what's going on.

The Evolution is a flash programmer, not a chip. Just picking nits.

Well i put it on my truck and it ran fine for a second and then it just lost hp like a clogged fuel filter changed it and i still had the same problem when i took rhe programer off it ran fine but this morning when i went to start it i wont start

I had an edge evolution for a while and sometimes it would do something to screw the fueling up. It would have no power at all and would show a negative boost until I got to around 2100 rpms. I would reset the programmer and all would be fine. I got rid of the edge and installed a TS 6 position chip and no more problems!
