shift improvement kits

Anyone run one of these? I had one installed in my old 76 F250 (installed by previous owner), and I liked it alot. I dont like the shifting of the tranny in my bronco, and thought this might be a good upgrade. I saw Horsepower TV last weekend and they installed the TransGo kit into a mustang. For anyone who has one, who do you run...TransGo, B&M, JET? I dont want that little switch one. I hear that can damage the tranny. Im talking about the kit that makes you drop the valve body and reroutes the fluid...or whatever the actual mechanism is. TIA

I got one from Level Ten . It works great. I have a temp guage on my trans and the temp dropped 20 degrees after installing it.

Did you install it yourself? I was watching those hot rod guys do theirs, and I got that 'deer in the headlights' stare. Did the tranny temp guage come with the kit, or is it something you added?

I had put the temp guage in prior to getting the shift kit. I believe I got it from Summit Racing. I use my Bronco for towing and wanted to know how bad I was abusing the trans. As far as the shift kit goes I needed the trans serviced and decided to have the kit put in as well as synthetic fluid at the same time. Level Ten's shop is only about 40 min from my house so I took the truck to them. I believe the bill was around $500 installed including the synthetic fluid.

I am running the Transgo shift kit with the firm but softer than the snappy shifts....(it is the softer of the two) by selecting one of two supplied springs in the kit......I also added a finned aluminum oil pan with bung and bolt....and had it heat dispersant coated....

If running an external oil cooler then temps shouldn't be a problem..
