So, I am planning on installing a mini pack leveling kit for my F250. While doing I am also going to install new shocks and decided to go with the Rancho 5000 series. I did not realize the shock mount for the front is on the top which does not change the distance and have already bought the RS5264 shocks for the front. Is this something I need to exchange for the RS5267 (stock front)? Or can I still run the larger shocks? I am not thinking so, but any ideas would be helpful.
It is 4 small sections of leaf spring material that are stacked in progressively longer lengths. You place these between the axel and the factory leaf springs in order to achieve a small amount of lift (usually 2"). It is safer that blocks because of the gemotry of the spring pack, and it maintains factory ride. If you want to see pics, check out Icon Vehicle Dynamics or Newton Lifts.
I'll post some pics tomorrow. I installed the 5" ready lift rear blocks (removed the stock 2" blocks for 3" of lift) on the rear and a mini pack on the front and got about 2.5" lift on front.
Thanks for posting those pics. I was having a hard time understanding what you were asking about. It also explains why I couldn't find 5100 Bilsteins for the front for a small lift (ie. 2" or so).
