Autospring/shocks?

Autospring/shocks?
I bought a 2.5" autospring kit for my 06 F150. I'm considering new shocks since I'm going to have the suspension apart during the install. Can I use direct replacements or do I need longer shocks for the front. I've read that I don't but I want to be sure. Any suggestions on which shocks to buy? Thanks

Since you'll have it out it's a good time to upgrade to a Bilstein, KYB or any other high quality shock. I may go KYB since I've had good experience with them in the past. My stock shocks are already getting mushy at 19k miles.
