Have 8k miles on toyo mt 35's. Can't tell they have hit the ground. Can't speak on nittos but the toyos beat the bfg's hands down. I'm in DFW area too.

I like the look of the Toyo MT's, price isn't too bad, any problem on the highway? Looking to replace stock 20'' wheels and tires in the near future. Looked at the Carli setup, very nice,,, but due to $$ it was either the suspension or wife,,,,,if I could only get the truck to cook,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I really like my Toyo MTs but they are going to be the shortest lasting tires I have ever used. They're going to need replacement at 30,000 miles. I expected that though, with the heavy trailer I tow. Their off road performance is amazing and this year I'm excited to be able to air down when in the sand for even better go-ability. Here's what they looked like at 20,000 miles:

By the way, the jury is in and I'm a convert to siping tires.

Does this really work?

I have had studless snows (Blizzaks)on the car and hated the way they felt on wet pavement. It was a mushy or floating feeling but they were awesome in the snow.

Not happy with my Toyo M/T's. Horrible road noise, bad wear and crappy miles.

It's probably a function of how deep the siping is. The deeper, the mushier feeling. I can't feel any difference in "mushiness" with what they did on my tires but I definitely appreciate the better traction on snow. The guys at Les Schwab warned me as much and said the tires can wear really fast if done improperly. They also said siping is not recommended if I off-road much (which I do). I'm planning to get a new set before I head off-road again. This was to get me through the winter.

Nitto and Toyo are the same company with an excellent reputation. I have a set of Toyo MT's ready to go on this spring but for the winter I am running BFG's that were siped...night and day for ice traction. The only downside is the Toyo's are 35's and by next winter I'm not sure I will be able to go back to the smaller BFG's. Ahh, sweet vanity!
