Clearance lights

Ok please help me understand why you would need clearance lights? I just think that is a very [edit:] unappealing accessory for these trucks.

Then don't get them on your truck. Problem solved!

Have you seen the Recon Smokes with white LED's? I'm not a fan of the stock ambers, but I'm getting them with the intent of a replacement.

Actually they are required to tell your width is OVER 8'6" (which the SuperDuty is not...barely) so they are just an accessory.

Some guys like them, some guys don't...like fat chicks.

The biggest thing here is most of the yuppy morons on the road don't have a clue that the clearance lights on these trucks mean that a 8'6'' plus wide vehicle is coming at them. They will complain either about your excessive lights or the huge load you are towing. LOL!!!!

I like 'em at night with the TT in tow. Like the look and an element of safety to boot.

That's why these are an option but I probably wouldn't select a lot truck without them.

Plus, when someone pulls out in front me at night I can complain "THAT PERSON PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF A VEHICLE WITH 13 FORWARD FACING LIGHTS?!"
(ok, i've used that complaint a few times...)

Besides the safety issue, as posted you either like them or you don't,
I don't have them and am considering getting them, my dad had driven Ford trucks since the 60's, till he passed in 2003,,he always had the lights on his trucks,,,for me its almost iconic,,, kinda like the look and certainly can't hurt given the strange weather in Texas
