Sounds u-joint related to me.. Going from drive to reverse and getting a "clunk" is usually a bad u-joint. Obviously there is some play in the system somewhere, now it's just a matter of finding where at.

I thought u joints too, that's why I changed them but the issue was still there.
Could te chain in the t-case be slack?
If I grab the rear tire with truck in park and roll it forward as back it seems to go more then I would think to be normal but when it stops at each theres a clunk that sounds to be comming from the middle of the truck. (kindof like the sound when changing gears but not as loud

Reason: Stupid iPhone auto correct...
Hmm... good question... I haven't ever had to tear apart a transfercase, so I'm really not sure what the symptoms would be of a loose chain.. Hopefully someone else will jump in and give you some good solid info. I would think that would only affect being in 4x4, but I have no idea.
After reading thumpers thread about his lowered truck pinion issues... His problem was the ubolts and the plate bending.... I'm wondering If I didn't tighten the ubolts correctly? The vibration started after doing the leafs.
What's the proper way to tighten them? And what torque?
I'll see if it goes away when I put the 3" blocks in the rear and get the new ubolts in. I don't plan on driving it till then anyways
