IF YOU LET THE UNIT SET A FEW DAYS AND TRY TO START IT THE ENGINE WILL NOT FIRE. YOU CRANK IT A WHILE IT WILL FIRE. IF YOU USE IT ALL DAY IT POPS RIGHT OFF. COULD THE IHOP BE BAD OR IS THERE OIL DRAIN BACK PROBLEM? IT IS A 2000 7.3 THAT RUNS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THIS LITTLE PROBLEM.
THE TANK IS AT THE PROPER LEVEL. I TRIED STARTING IT THEN QUIT AND REMOVED THE PLUG TO SEE IF THE LEVEL WENT DOWN ON THE OIL TANK. IT HAD NOT PLUS OIL CAME OUT WHEN I REMOVED THE PLUG. IT JUST ACTS LIKE YOU HAVE TO FILL THE INJECTORS UP WITH OIL PRESSURE THAN IT STARTS TO FIRE WITH IT RUNNING ROUGH AND MISSING UNTIL THE SYSTEM GETS FULL PRESSURE.
Check your gpr....I installed led on mine last weekend and have since found out that it does not always turn on immediately because the relay is weak. Sometimes you have to bump the starter in order to get it warm. Once it does, the truck cranks right off.
