5 spd gearbox
Hi there everyone , hope you all had a great christmas and new year
. Just want to know what 5 spd manual gearbox can be used in place of the stock 4 spd in a 77 f bomb with 351c , been told tremac tko 36/60 series will go straight in using different bell housing etc but no cutting of floor . I want something heavy duty and runs nice.....is re gearing 4 spd also an option , because no matter what holley i use or tuning its a dogs bog in 4th but 2nd to 3rd are good because its geared low and pulls fairly hard and 1st well unless im gonna haul a pyramid it doesnt get used.

A real 351 Cleveland or the 351M?
A 351C can use any small block 5 speed. As for heavy duty it truly depends on what you want to do. The smallblock ZF5 is pretty stout.
A 351M can utilize a 460 bigblock ZF5 manual tranny. Pretty darn tough tranny.
