I see you are in Germany. Can you give us an idea of how much you are willing to pay for a working flathead and how you plan to have it shipped there? That will help the members here who might be able to help you.
Where are you located in Germany? - There used to be a Junkyard that specialized in Military vehicles near Kaserslaurtern on the Northeast side on B40 - It was near the French Casern and it had a lot of French Military trucks - They used the modified Ford Flathead
There are severeal reputable places I know of that sell rebuilt flatheads and undoubtedly would ship you one. The thing with flatheads tho is that if you want an absolutely year-correct stock engine it might cost more than one that is functionally correct but has some mix'n'match parts. You'll have to specify exactly what you want to get a good quote.
The ones I know of offhand:
H&H Flatheads (Dallas)
United Engine Specialists (Wichita KS - on eBay a lot)
for my Ford F1 1952, in complete and good condition
many thanks for help..
I have several rebuilt flatheads that I have for sale. I wouldn't have a clue how to get one over to you, but if you are seriously interested in paying for shipping and more information from me let me know...slim keithnwood@msn.com

Strap it to a pallet and find a shipper that will take it from your door step to the nearest shipyard port to put on a boat to Germany. There are several shipping companies, as well as brokers, that can get this done.
Yep.
Oh, I have shipped 4 or 5 around the country with no problems and customers have always been happy. I just use a banding machine to tie down to the pallet and surround with plywood.
The flatties I sell are not the fancy, high priced ones with all the bling, bling shiney stuff that seems so popular these days. Mine are just honest-to-goodness rebuilt, often with NOS or used parts, tested on an engine stand and ready to put in your car. I work with an older gentleman (80s) who has worked on these things for almost as old as I am (and I'm no spring chicken anymore at 62). We try to keep the prices down, and we've got happy fellows running them all over the place.
I've never sent one overseas though, so I don't have a handle on shipping costs...slim
I've shipped a 51 COE (body only) to New Zealand, an old gas pump and an F1 bed to Australia by using the same strapping method that you use. I, however, have the luxury of living by the coast where there are two shipping ports and one large one down in SoCal. I've always had the buyer arrange the shipping and was just told where to drop off.
I shipped a Jeep engine to Spain a couple years ago and we used Carotrans. Things went smoothly with no problems. You do need to have it in a good, sturdy crate. They arranged pickup here in Michigan. Also be sure that you have your financials worked out. We used PayPal but they are slow to pay particularly on large international transactions.
