IMHO, crank them down till you have used up MOST (but not all) of the spring in the spring-clamp. The spring is supposed to maintain tension when the CAC tubes expand and contract during heat cycling.

This is how I do it to Crank till tight
at 8-9ft/lbs is not much at all Iv never Blown a CAC Conection with just the clean and tight method
I try and tourque most things that have a gasket between parts so the parts are pulled evenly together and have consistent pressure on the gasket But CAC Boots and Tubes I just go till tight
If they wont hold on there after you tighten the Clamp as much as you DARE get some Black Oil Ressistent & High Temp silicone and silicone it this will hold it for shure clamp and let dry 24 Hours
This may also jaCK The boots up if you need to get them apart ever again
I want to order my boot's from Riffraff, tonight. Can anyone tell me what size, and how many clamps to buy? I am gonna buy the whole kit I think. (all boot's, and clamp's)

You don't really need the clamps unless some of yours have stripped but you would need 2 - 2.75", 5 - 3.25", and 1 - 3.5"
Thanks. I was thinking of having them in case. I was also just thinking of doing the hot side, as that is where I have to put the pipes/boot's back together. (They never blow, but they slip allot!)
