I just got a 2000 f250 7.3l my 2nd 7.3l diesel it is a 4 door truck and a lariat however the back 2 doors dont lock when you hit the door lock button. Any ideas how to fix this? This is my first question
2nd question is that when all the doors are locked I will shut the door and sometimes the interior lights will stay on then I get inside and turn the key to WTS and turn it off pull keys out and lock door and it will go off. Or sometimes I need to try this a few times then it will go off. Any ideas how I can fix this??
I hear u there. I have watched them before myself wondering if they were ever going off; especially after working on the door ajar switch. If its going off in 30-60 seconds, thats probably just the way its designed. If you leave the door open for a while, I think at 10 minutes but cannot remember the exact time, the lights will eventually cut as a battery protection.
You may also lube all the door latch mechanism up with wd-40 really well and open and shut the door several times. The switch that turns the light on and off is made into the door latch mechanism and is known to cause issues. If you go ahead and do it, it will probably save u a headache later. I had to do the 2001 I just bought.

The door lock button that I think that you are meaning is the drivers door button? Does the driver door 'unlock' all four doors? Have you reached over and tried the front passenger button? If the passenger button locks/unlocks all four doors, then start looking at the drivers door button for looseness or corrotion first before tearing into the back door actuators.
