auto door locks messed up

auto door locks messed up
2003 expedition door ajar light stays on and doors lock except for drivers door. Battery gets run down. sometimes doors will lock after driving a while. Dome lights all stay on unless switched to off mode.
I checked all fuses and doors everthing is closed. Whats happening?

Unlike older trucks that have a push button switch for the dome lights, the new Ford trucks use a micro switch that is located in the door latch. Sounds like yours has gotten gummed up.
Give the latch a bath in WD-40, PB Blaster, Tri-Flo, something that will remove the gunk and get everything moving again.
Once the switch is working, the door should lock, the door ajar will go out and the dome light should work correctly.
For good measure, lube up all of the door latches.
