Multifunction switch
My stepdaughters boyfriend has a 96 ford ranger and the multifunction switch is having problems. The turn signals dont work for left turns and no high beams anymore, works pulling back but not pushing forward. I have one from a 92 sable/taurus and was wondering if it would work? The arm is slightly different bends but otherwise if it does not hit anything should it work?

It's possible that it would work; Ford tries to use the same parts on different vehicles to cut down on unneeded expense. The biggest issue would be the connector on the switch itself. You might try going down to the local parts store and see if they have both. You can then compare.

Thx ruffinit if he comes down this weekend i can do that or just grab the sable/taurus one i have and check it out that way..... its not terribly difficult to change it. I scrapped a sable and took a whole bunch of stuff off it b4 i traded it in to the local recycling yard
