4 Ways not working

When I press the 4 ways, I have to wiggle the switch to get them to work. Most of the time when I press it , it will look like my left turn signal is on. Has this happened to anyone else? Could the switch be bad? Thanks

If you have to wiggle it to get it to work properly it sounds like dust/dirt is in the switch. You could try to blow it out with compressed air and see if that helps or depending on how mechanicly inclined you are you can take the switch apart and spray some contact cleaner into it. Just don't spray the stuff on anything plastic that you will see...it tends to discolor it pretty bad. You could also just replace the switch...should not be more that $15-$20 from the dealer.

This happened regularly in my last F250 (96). As it turned out the easiest way to correct the problem was to use the switch more often and to turn it on and off several times if it was acting up. As it turned out there was no real sign of corrosion anywhere, so it was my diagnosis that it was just a combination of dust, dirt and lack of use that was causing the problem. I wouldn't reccomend
swapping out the switch, I don't think it's going to be worth the effort.
