Could not find a suitable place to post this, so I created a new one. Sorry Mr. Moderator if I did not do this correctly, I am new to FTE.
After I picked up my 2011 F-150 from the dealership, I found a small parts bag in the door pocket, drivers side. The small package was labeled AL3T-15A416-AA. There are two small parts - one slightly larger (black w/ four prongs) fuse-like, and the other pink also fuse-like with no prongs. Has female-type connections.
I read somewhere on this forum that these could be fuses for the trailer tow package that is installed on the vehicle. I don't know what they would be for actually.
I can e-mail pics if anyone can help.
Does anyone have an explanation of what these are?
If you want to add a trailer brake controller for electric brakes you will need them. It's a fuse, relay, and power cord. If you don't use a brake controller I'd toss them in the glove box because you never know when you'll want them down the road.

I thought these two parts are needed if you want to charge a trailer battery while towing - and will be there even if you have the factory brake controller installed. So yes, they are trailer towing related, but I thought a little different from what you said, dixie.
I would install them, regardless of trailer towing with battery charging intent, to avoid losing them. I have no idea why Ford would not just put them in.
Very good! I appreciate the quick feed-back. I have a trailer brake controller from the factory, but I will not require it with the small, single axle (1,500 lbs) trailer that I have. I do have (2) deep-cycle 12v batteries hooked in parallel but they are for 12 volt support inside the trailer powering (2) 12v lights and 12v circuits charging lithium-ion batteries for my model airplanes. I installed a separate battery charger for the deep-cycle batts that when the trailer sits in my driveway, the 110v charger is plugged into an outdoor outlet from a short extension cord.
No electric brakes required for the trailer I am currently towing. I also use the flat/five prong adapter for the running/brake lights on the trailer. I am good to go, thanks for the help!!
My dealer must have installed mine during their "dealer prep". That bag was one of the first thing I looked for when I got my truck home and it wasn't there. I looked under the hood at the relays and the relays for trailer "charge" etc. were installed. I do have the factory TBC.

Mine came with the TBC as well but I noticed the baggie in the door. I figured they were spares but it sounds like I will need to put them in.
