Road Tool Kit
I am new to the Super Duty and the 7.3L diesel engines. I recently bought a 1999 F-350 SRW and want to assemble a good tool kit to take with me. I am going to be away from home for 3 months at a time so i will need to know what specialty tools i should include with my regular tool kit. Do any of you super duty vets have any suggestions?

Don't forget about the bulbs. I just found out last weekend I have to remove the entire headlight assembly to change the bulbs. What a stupid design. I'm actually updating my tool kit tonight to include a socket set and the 6" extension.
My last truck was a diesel and I always kept a spare fuel filter with me, plus the tools to change it.

Spare tire tools!
Everything needed to service a flat tire.
The tools needed to lower your spare are priceless when you are on the side of the road.
Find them and try them out before you really, really need them.

(I use a ½" drive 18" breaker bar with a cheater pipe turning a socket on a 6" extension.)

never thought of that but before i get on the road i need to practice changing the tire on this big old truck. Good stuff.

I tow people to tire shops.
No reason for me to change a tire.
You need to know how to do that.
Knowing how will save you $$$.
Actually it can save you so much more.
The side of the road is no place to be.
