C4 shaft seal question
Hi everyone, I have an early C4 ( from a 1968 mustang according to to the tag # ) with a leaky seal on th externl shift & kikickdown shaft. I have read the thread from 2009 where 52f3 and Havi sxplained in detail how to replace the seal and o ring on a C6, and i understand the thread, it is a good one. I have the pan off my C4 and there seems to be less room to perform this repair ( i may be wrong ). My question is can i drop the valve body, perform the repair, and then just bolt the valve body back up, is it that simple? or will i disturb things im not prepaired to deal with? Also i cant find a drain plug on the tourque converter, Im guessing some have them and some dont ? Thank you for any input.
