need help with these two Canadian VIN codes;
Mercury Diesel M-C600 vin 1516035L-178479F
Ford C700- vin 4517075L-151306F

Those are not vehicle vin numbers. Where did you find them on the truck(s)?

They are on metal tags on the door post and they are Canadian Vin's. Different then USA.

it's neither.

This is a 1977 C700 Tilt Cab and you've asked for a decode in two different threads in this forum, also in Large Truck forum.

Decoded in your thread in the LARGE TRUCK forum.

Rich: Geez Louise, 64 in DSO code has nothing to do with the year!

Last 6 digits of the VIN decode to the year: Z08721 = 1977.
