Sounds like real good times. I'd like to go the same route some day. Only problem is that I have two large dogs. Nice looking camper. Enjoy the camping and the open road.

If you ever need to look at a Superhitch setup. I'm down in Tri-Cities, WA. You can stop by anytime.

Here's mine...

The control units vary depending on the options you choose and where you shop around at. Typically the cheaper and simpler units go for around $180/200. The more advance units such as our wireless systems go for around $350.

Mine are Helwigs but the Firestones are basically the same set up. I'm running a custom 20 gal air tank on mine as well. (I run a train horn)

And they do help!

I would need a heavier duty truck if it wasn't for the bags.

That is an absolute must with a truck camper. Truck campers produce more sway than any other cargo. If you tie the two bags together, the air will go from the outside bag to the inside bag when you corner. If you have them separate the air can't move and the higher pressure on the outside bag will combat sway.

I run Firestone bags and they perfom well. I would like to upgrade to a system with a compressor sometime in the future though. So think about that when you order.
AirLift sounds like a nice way to go too.

I just ordered a set of Air Lift Air Springs and a Load Controller Compressor from Amazon. Along with the $100 rebate and free shipping it seems like a good deal.

Thanks Airlift Mike for the tip on the rebate, here's what I ordered.

1 "Air Lift 25856 Load Controller Dual Heavy Duty Compressor"
Automotive; $325.50
In Stock
Sold by: Amazon.com LLC

1 "AIR LIFT 57215 LoadLifter 5000 Series Rear Air Spring Kit"
Misc.; $262.50
In Stock
Sold by: Amazon.com LLC
