That video is legit, its exactly what happens. However, that doesnt mean you absolutely CANT run the engine. Its a give and take until you rebuild your engine.
If your having a block Bored and Honed, its in your best interest to have it torque plate honed...

There is no question that torque plate honing is a good practice. A machinist I know has about 25 different ones for his shop, and they arent cheap but he builds pretty high power engines so it is even more critical. hes the kind of guy that would do a dyno run before and after so I will ask him when I see him again.
