upfitter question

i have an 2011 xlt that did not come with upfitter switches. someone told me that i may have the necessary wiring behind my coin holder so i could just buy the switches. does anyone know if this is true or what it would look like bhefore i start taking apart my dash

not really for sure if this will help or not as i really don't know, but, on my 08, which did have the switches, i wired some lights and stufff into them, there were labled wires running to the switches. I would say look under there and see if there are any tag end wires with amp ratings on them. just a suggestion.

To install and connect the up fitter switches to the factory system you will need the up fitter switches along with the wiring harness that plugs into the factory wiring harness in the dash. You can buy a kit at a discounted price from parts guyed.com (a sponsor of this site). It is part #PK11UPFITTERKIT on his site. That is where I bought mine and I am very happy with the price, service, and results. Here is also a link to the tech forum on this site with more information and pictures about installing it: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...tch-wires.html
