All my posts should be on this page. Kind of slow on a computer so bear with me as I ask questions. Hopefully there will be something much easier before I have to replace an oil pump or fuel pump.

What are you using to pull codes with? If you tried to start the truck with the ICP unplugged, it would have set a P1280 code. If you're not seeing that, then your code reader is not capable of picking up the engine codes on this motor.
Since it died like someone shut the key off, get out a multi meter or test light and check all of your fuses with that. Both under the dash and under the hood. Check the little ones and the big ones. Also swap the relays around to check those out.
What about the fuel pressure test described? Have you tried opening the drain valve and turning the key on yet?
I have pulled ICP wire and still no code. Using an Actron OBD II Auto Scanner model CP 9135. Have tried all fuses and they are good. Will try the relays tomorrow.

If you unplugged the ICP sensor, the CEL should have come on and there will be a code stored (if the engine was running or you were cranking for at least 10 -15 seconds). The 7.3 is not an OBDII compliant motor, so you may need to find a better scanner. The engine was designed by International as a medium duty truck engine and therefore did not have to comply with the OBDII requirements for 96 and newer vehicles.
Got a diffrent scanner from Auto Zone that they said would work on a 7.3 engine. Scanner said it passed with no codes even after unplugging the ICP sensor. No ERROR came up either that the book said it would if truck wasn't OBD compliant. Freshly charged batteries in truck. No movement on oil guage when cranking. Scanner is an Actron model CP 9175
Any suggestions on what kind or brand of code reader that would work on a 99 F-350 7.3 engine. Truck is dead in driveway and I would rather fix it myself than to tow it to a shop.
That is the original problem with my 99 7.3! I asked my son to check to see if any wires were lose at the fuse box, he is only 11. While I was driving he started pulling on the fuse box. The bus suddebly stopped. I was on the highway and rolled to the shoulder in rush hour traffic. By the way my original problem was a none working radio which I assumed someone had disconnected the fuse or wiring. I wiggled the fuse box and it started up, off we went. It has suddenly stopped 3 times that I know of since. I think it is the main computer wire that may be lose. That is maybe your problem as well. Which fuse and/or wire coloor is for the main computer?

No luck yet but I have a friend that is bringing a code reader from his shop that will read a 7.3. I am located in Oklahoma. Should know something today or tomorrow. Thanks
I used a Solus Pro from Snap-On to read the codes. It returned a code of 1211 and a code of 1280. All eight injectors cycled properly according to the reader. Anything else I need to do?
