Hey guys, I am needing a new clutch. My DMF was rattling before, but over the last 2 weeks I installed a bunch of mods I've been collecting:
-Stage 1's from Rosewood
-T500 HPOP c/w new IPR
-HPX
-PHP Phoenix Chip
-Fuel bowl rebuild c/w new fuel hoses
I had already installed a MBRP exhaust on it, and 6637 intake, as well as gauges. The last item I installed was the PHP Chip...and now I can spin through my clutch with very little effort.
I am looking at Southbend, but which one do I want?? I see people recommending the OFE, but I don't see that on their website. I am thinking the 1944-5OK is the one I want as I presume the K means kevlar which means smooth engagement....but I don't want to slip this one either.
Suggestions?? (Btw, I tried to price a valair, but once I asked Dan for shipping to Canada, he stopped responding).
Give valair a call if you were emailing him. I just put the ceramic Kevlar in and have very similar mods. It is smooth and engages good. I don't see why he couldn't ship to Canada.
I'm not gonna say one is better then the other but after talking to Heath from Valair at TS and then talking to him on the phone is what persuaded my decision. Great group of guys and very knowledgeable. I've never had any dealings with Southbend so I can't say good or bad. But I base a lot of the things I buy of customer service and they have a top notch crew.
Also Cody has tested pretty well every option that Valair offers for our trucks.
