Lowered 69 Ranger

I want to lower my 69 Ranger a couple of inches and need some advise.

I can buy the items that compress front springs a couple of inches for about $40.00
but when I look at lowerimg blocks and shackels (old school) it never lists them for my year.
Before I get beat up I realize this is not the prefered , high tech. way to do it and still have a great ride but it is the (get cheap) way.
Any ideas ??

Thanks all !!!

A couple of issues with the parts yer looking at:
1. Collapsing the front coils will introduce negative camber and that is not good for tire wear. Second, you'll lose suspension travel and it might bottom out.
2. Lowering blocks won't work on these rigs because in stock configuration, the axle is mounted under the leaf springs. That's why they are not listed. A word on shackles in a moment.
3. There's cheap and then there's least costly.

IMO, the options from least costly to costlier are as follows:

1. DJM or AIM drop beams and flipping the front spring hanger on the rear leafs.
2. DJM /AIM drop beams and rear shackles.
3. DJM /AIM drop beams and a Fatman Fabrication axle flip (bolt-in). Requires a C-notch in the frame.

The following methods require welding skills...
4. 03+ Crown Victoria subframe retrofit, a rear lowering system from above, and re-drilling the rear axles to 5 on 4.5. Add $$ for wheels that fit.
5. 03+ Crown Victoria subframe and a mid-90s T-bird rear IRS.
6. Mustang II style IFS (Heidt's, Fatman, Rod & Custom, etc.) a lowering system above or a custom triangulated four-link, and custom 28-spline axles with 5 on 4.5.

I'll be doing No. 1 above and if it doesn't achieve the stance I like, I will proceed to No. 3.

I know it's been a year, but I'm wondering what you guys ended up doing and how it turned out? Got any pictures? Anyone else have any input?

Life, work, plus two rental house remodels that cropped up in May and August have gotten in the way so there has been no progress on my build (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ide-build.html). Then I had a water pipe go bad in another house (vacant at the time) so the entire ground floor had to be rebuilt by my contractor. To that end, 2012 was a disaster.

However, I've still been accumulating parts including ordering an Edelbrock E-Street EFI system. My home office looks like a bumpside exploded... swaybars, hubcaps, spindles, radius arms, wheels, dropped I-beams, springs, bushings, bearings, brake booster, MC, etc.

Not the cheapest but the best way to lower these trucks without fabricating and welding is the DJM drop kit has 3" drop I beams in front and rear 4" drop shackles and mounts. This is how ill be doing my drop on my truck not a fan of cutting coils or using spring compressors as like said they will give you to much camber and will need your beams bent to correct it by time you do this you usually ain't much away from having enough to just buy drop beams
