Evening Tom! Still plugging along here. I've completed some work on the new process, but mostly been working on the new house and new shop. I thought when I retired 2 years ago that I'd have more time, but I'm now busy 8 days a week............Maybe I should go back to work so I could have more time to work on projects?
I still haven't been able to figure out why this forum is so dormant. Last time the price of dinodiesel was this high, this forum was smokin..........

Another problem I have is getting rid of glycerin. Wish the county would take it off my hands like they do with you. I'm getting a storage problem. Wish people were interested in making soap. Got any suggestions?

Find someone that's heavy into gardening and have them test it mixed with water. If you use NaOH it makes an excellent fertilizer, and with KOH it makes a great weed killer!
Build a Babbington burner, and use it for heat............

I know just what you mean. I'm tired of being re-tired. I have same problem.

No thanks on the Babbington burner. We here in Florida try to GET RID of heat.
Did you get those 2 chemicals "bass-ackwards"? I thought it was the other way around. My glycerin has not been de-methed. I presume I would have to do that before using it for fertilizer, right?

I guess I will have to de-meth it. I really didn't want to mess with recovering methanol but I guess I will. When you re-use meth, how much of to a ratio of new do you use? Do you pre heat glycerin to approx 100 deg before you run it through the chamber or what? (Where has my memory gone)
