New Process

Many of you know that I'll be building a new larger plant this winter. It will not be a "batch" process, but continious flow. The link below will explain some of the process that I'll be using. With the addition of improvements that I've been working on, we should be able to process 1,000 gallons/day. While running it will input new canola oil at one end, and finished bio at the other, with continious Methanol recovery and recycling. Plans are finished. Drawings done. Local permits in place. I have a wheat harvest to get through, and Fall planting to do before I can start, BUT I'M SO PUMPED!!!!

Way to go Don. Looks like a nice setup. Got any idea what the small processor would cost? You no doubt will get the "big mother" considering how much you use. Tom

I can't wait until he works the bugs out completely and can scale it down for us "light weights".

Already working on a smaller model for small processors

Their smallest model will do aprox 25 gal/hr at 1,000 watts. I think I can design a smaller system in the 4-500 watt range that would process about 10-12 gallons per hour.........................

Most of what is needed are off the shelf components!

10-12 Gallons an hour is about right.

Some day I am going to drive out to your ranch and buy you a beer for all the help you give on here.

I will be looking forward to hearing from you. It seems like it is a lot less trouble to process with the continuous method. Now if I could feed it with algae rather than WVO which is getting in shorter supply daily. The thieves are taking more every day. Tom
