Afternoon everyone!!

Is it 5:00 yet? I might just take off early anyway. I'm itching to finish up what I started on the house yesterday. Trying to get enough done so that we're ready to paint the main floor this weekend.

I looked at the paint we bought today. We painted our bedroom and thought the color looked really light compared to what we thought we got. I found the sample sheet from Menards. Turns out it is light and they messed something up. The color on the wall and the color on the sample aren't even close.

I believe you need to move the front holes ahead about 3/8" like Jay said and the plates should be wide enough to accommodate that. In the rear, you will either have to remove the plates and move them forward or install new ones, approximately 2 1/2" forward of the current holes.

The problem you could run into using the front holes as they are is the whole skid will be placed back 3/8" or so too far, and this could cause issues with track tension and weight transfer to name a couple.

Don't let all this scare you off though, it is still a pretty straight forward swap. And you will enjoy the extra suspension travel too.
I did some reading and it doesn't sound too hard. The front worries me. If I drill 3/8" in front of the old hole, it will be very close. Do you think the bolt could ream the hole and slip into the old one? It seems like leaving the front as is and moving the rear would work, but the site said measurements are the most important thing. It probably will be easier watching her cousins do it.

Good to hear Dave. So will it eventually get back to the way it was before it happened?

Well, her uncle stopped by today while he was on his route. We determined that the orifices are too big. He called "his guy" and has a complete lp kit w/ orifices coming. We will get that in and if it acts up, I will use it for target practice. Hey Troy, got an anchor for your boat? LOL

You could take some gauge sheet metal and plate the outside of the tunnel in the hole area and rivet it on and drill the hole through both. I need to do that to mine in that area because the tunnel is cracking around the bolt holes

Hey Michael! Nothing like painting a couple times to finally get the color you want. haha

Well that would make sense if it wasn't swapped to LP. The NG orifices are bigger there for letting to much gas out.Hope that solves your trouble and no I don't have an anchor yet! LOL

I've read that the front has to be located an inch higher as well, can't find any confirmation on that though. Seems to be a crap shoot on info out there. Just search xtra 10 swap and you will see what I mean.

Damn, I hate when the orifice is too big................

Sheet metal would be the best answer. I think if I reinforced the area as much as I could I would be golden. Then a little spray paint, some slides, gas and..........DADGUM SNOW!

I did read a couple articles on it today. I did see that the measurements are the most crucial part. I will read more tonight. I wish there was a You Tube video on it. I can't find any. Maybe I could do one.....................hmmmmmmmmmm.

Here is a quote from the "guy" that did it to his sled.

"The measurement discrepancies that are within 1 inch can all be made up with the track tensioning adjustment".

Does that refer to the front 3/8"?

Well Des' cousin can't help this weekend. I am going to see if I can get someone to swap Sat. with me so I can maybe do it next weekend, unless someone plans on having a GTG so I can try to make it.
