They both are a pain in the butt to get to when everything is installed. I would pull the IPR which is located on the right side of your hpop cover behind and right of where your turbo is usually. I would pull that sucker and check the condition of it while your there also check for signs of oil comming from the sensor (ICP) behind the IPR If there is signs of oil comming from that sensor or pig tail is covered in oil change the pig tail and sensor. Once everything is back together they are tough to get at.

No sign of oil around sensor I traced it to what I think was a leaking oil filter cap or the bottom of housing . Hope that is all it is !
UPDATE: Everything is out and went better than expected! Turbo wasn't near as bad coming out as some make it sound! Up pipe and y pipe out along with the rest of exhaust ready for banks exhaust to show up wed and rest of parts from tousley on Fri.
Is there any need to try and put the heat shield back on the up pipe and also down pipe ? Not sure if down pipe will come with any on it or not.
Any thing else I should do back there while turbo is out? Sensors etc. Seem to have slight oil leak back there somewhere.
Oh ya AE software also ordered from riffraff !! Be able to read codes once all back together !
Definitely put heat shields, Keep heat off cab. AE gives ya a whole lot more than codes! You'll be impressed. I always expect the worst & enjoy it when it goes easily.

Is it a safety concern or just to keep cab little cooler? Old up pipe and y pipe have some shields on then but new up pipe came with out it have to figure out way to reinstall on new one maybe.

Both, my 94 didn't have any, the steering column would be so hot my feet would sweat. You can cut a U shape about an 1" long x 1/2" wide, bend it down then back flat & hose clamp to pipe.
