I see the vent that I have leaking offered on Ford parts internet site for like $20 but I read they can't be changed on the plastic tanks.
The vent mod that allows more fuel in is the Harpoon mod. It involves cutting the vent that goes into the tank from the filler port up closer to the top of the tank. Ford wants the vent covered sooner so the tank won't fill as full. I don't know if Ford did it for safety or something else. Look up Harpoon and you will find alot about it; it is a common mod.
