STUMPED! Brake light wiring question

I am wiring the lights on 2012 bed I just put on. I tested them all and they worked, so I started putting shrink connectors on. I get them on, and the drivers side brake light doesnt work. Turn signal works, running light works, reverse lights work.....everything works except the drivers brake light, and it shares a wire with the turn signal...which works...? I checked my fuse diagram and nothing says the brake lights are independent, but that's all I can think of.....am I missing something?

Does the E-Flasher cause both to flash?

This is beginning to sound like a multi-function switch in the steering column.

John,

Do you have a wiring diagram for the Exterior Lamps Circuit, especially the part about the multi-function switch (MFS)?

You're looking for a LT GRN/ORN on Pin 9 of the MFS connector that goes out to that lamp in the rear.

It's possible that the MFS was somewhere in mid-throw. That would cause what you saw.
