back up sensor acting up

the past two winters my back up sensors have been acting weird. When its cold out (30's) and I put the truck in reverse the backup sensor beeps like there is something in the way.... a long beep so it would be something several feet away.... of course there is nothing back there....I've cleaned the sensors. They don't appear damaged. It is just strange that it only acts up when its cold. Anyone else with this issue?

I would find the wiring harness for them, and unplug and plug all the connectors back in. You may have one that is intermittent. Just like re-seating circuit boards in a old computer, sometimes re-seating the connectors makes problems go away.

You can try it, but you may get a error code or beep. Shouldn't hurt anything to try it.
