95 L8000 missing thermostat
I have a 1995 Ford L8000 that is missing the thermostat. I can drive all day and the temp gauge barely moves off the bottom. I have been to NAPA and the local cumings place. Neither thermostat they gave me fit. Both had a flanges around the diameter. My block and thermostat housing do not have a rececced area for the flange to go into. The upper coolant pipe looks like it is made to accept a single cylindrical shaped thermostat (the picture is the upper coolant pipe and block on the right front side of the engine). The block does not have duel thermostats. Anyone have the P/N for the correct thermostat?
It has a Cumings 210hp 8.3L diesel engine. Engine no 450207xx.
