well I bought them for 750. front axle, rear axle, leafs on rear, rotors and drums, But I have a quick question how hard is it to take the 4:10 gears out of the front d-60 and if I can, can I put the 3:55 gears out of the d-50 into the d-60? I dont really want to get 4:10s. Ill have the front axles out tommaro.
I think they are different. And to Rome the ring and pinion you have to;
1. Drain diff, and romove cover
2. Remove hubs
3. Remove knuckles
4. Remove axles
5. Remove 4 bolt holding ring gear and housing in diff. 2 each side.
6. Remove bolts that hold ring gear to housing.
7. Remove bolt that holds yoke on and remove. May need puller
8. Pinion gear should now come out.
It goes back together the same way. Everything must be shimmed and set to ford specs. If not it will implode on it self.
So your saying its easier to change a 400lb+ peice than taking the rear end apart.I'm just asking to not trying to be smart or anything, b/c id rather keep my 3:55 gears.

Can u shim gear? Do u have the tools? Most people can't.
Your are going to pay 500 to 600 for a new 3.55 ring and pinion set. So to me it be easier to change rears. I could do the rear in about 2 hours. Not really that hard. The front I never removed a Dana 50 and installed a 60 but will be in a short time. Im sure that only be a few hours too.
