Just installed Kryptobulb 35W Bi-Xenon 6000k HID installed on my 03' 6.0 Easy to install and very bright ,a couple of things I noticed that aren't quite right.
Why would ABS light come on for a few seconds until lights warm up?
Why would only one light switch from hi to low and the when it does flip it seems like the light gets less bright when on low beam? It seem to go form the light up at a higher angle to a lower one seems to be backwards.
I double checked all my connections and they can only fit one way. the harness is installed to the driver side light and the battery on the driver side as well. That is the light thaty will switch when i flip from lo to high beam the passenger lght does not change at all.
Also how do you adjsut the lighs exactly? can seem to find the adjusting scew like on my old jeep right next to the housing.
reccomendations for you. REMOVE THAT KIT. remember, you get what you pay for. the abs light coming on may be because the ballast may be too close to the abs module. sorry.
First of all, the headlights reflector housings on our Ex's are not designed for an HID bulb so the beam pattern will not be correct and the will be 'hot spots' due to the increased light output. Second, you will blind oncoming drivers because of how much of that HID light is scattered by the reflector beam housing. Unless you decide to retrofit an HID specific projector beam unit within your truck's headlight housing, ditch the kit.
I'm sure other members use HID kits and will disagree, but the proper way to install an HID system is to use OEM parts and retrofit HID-specific projectors from some other vehicle into your headlights. Its an extensive process, and isn't cheap. I'll look up the website for the guy that did mine and I'll post some links to better inform people about HID installs and usage.
Please be sure to re-aim your not street legal aftermarket HID kit, other drivers will thank you since your halogen headlight housing will scatter the light.
Also, move that module somewhere else away from the abs module. You definitely don't want something to affect your braking system.
Check this thread about aiming the headlights. You may need to go to a dealer.
Post up some night pics, how much blue does the 6K have?
Honestly I don't remember the total cost. I chose to purchase oem replacement housings from ebay. I also purchased and modified a relayed wiring harness to work with the HID setup. Plus some headlight harness couplers were cut up and worked into the harness so I didn't have to hack up any factory wiring, which essentially made it my own custom 'plug-n-play' harness. All said and done it was probably around $700. It was one of the best mods I've done to the car (and there's an S-load of money and man hours put in to that car). Lightwerkz did the retro for me before he made it big time and had a website n all that. Back then he was just another NASIOC member with mad skills and a lot of time...now its a full time biz for him. What you see in the pics of my car was only the second retro of its kind that he did.
I have had the kit on for about a week now and haven't had one person flash their lights at me they are actaully pointed kind of low and I haven't adjusted them at all. the lights are definitley brighter but not blinding like some of you have said. No different than my friends Escalade.

DP-Tuner does have more up to date hardware instead of the antiquated rotary ****. You can push a button to change chips, more programs, email downloads, etc, etc. However, they are more susceptible to radiation from HID lights. The price you pay. Kinda like I have AC problems because I want the comfort of an AC system and not have to roll down the windows. I believe they said the fix to that was some ferrite beads on the controller. Could you possibly try the same solution? IDK. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-and-hids.html
I had some issue with my cheapo units and it turned out that the module was bad sending power to one.
