Remote Starter 02 FX-4
I was told my 2002 FX4 Lariat 4.6L has a factory remote. I know if i hit the lock button twice it will start or lately try to start. It just cranks then stops then tries again but just cranks. It is really cold out and I would like to get this fixed. Has anyone ver encountered this. I looked under the dash and I found this box that say Remote Keyless/anti theft does this control it?

I had the same problem on a 97 expedition I had. But my remote start was aftermarket. What was weird mine would only act up when it was real cold like 20 degrees or colder. It would just crank. But if I put the key in and hit the remote it would start right up. Turns out the pats bypass was acting up. I replaced it with a $10 one off ebay and it worked perfect.
