i just purchased this '79 f-250 4x4 (it's got a 6" lift, 400 small block) and found that two of the four bolts holding the upper ball joint have snapped clean in half and can be pulled up and out without any effort, barely holding my steering together on the drivers side. this truck is rolling on 35" nobbies...any advice on an easy fix would be appreciated. unfortunately i am not allowed to post pics because i'm new to this forum
the two front (closet to our view) are the two bolts that are snapped clean and fully loose. AND NOTICE THE spacer (?) in the middle of the unit, has that been added for extra support due to the 6"lift or is it stock...?
i also have an oil pan leak, seems to be at the pan bolt. Should i just replace the oil pan bolt/nut? and does a leak from a front shock need to be replaced or is there a fix for that? Also my power steering lines are wet....fellas please help
1-power steering lines wet
2-oil pan leak, at nut
3-front drivers side shock leak
Any advice?
