Congratulations on your new truck. Here's what the information you provided decodes to: F10 = 2 wheel drive truck. D = 352 cubic inch V8, 2 bbl engine. K = built at Kansas City. 717594 = built in July, '65, the last month of '65 model year production. 129 = your wheelbase in inches.
M = Wimbledon White color. F100 = 5000 pound GVW half ton truck.
E81 = Cusom Cab body with red crush vinyl and red ladder pattern woven plastic interior. A = three speed manual light duty transmission. 08 = 3.50 gear ratio in a Ford 9 inch non-limited slip differential. You left out Max GVW which is 5000 pounds and certified net HP which is 172 at 4000 rpms. The District Sales Office which ordered your truck was Memphis (63) and it was not a special order. Hope you enjoy your new truck!

You need to verify the housing type and bearing diameter. Truck 9 inch rears had large bearing old style or large bearing new style. You verify this by taking it apart.

But anything can be under it after fifty years.

What brand disk kit were you contemplating. Be aware Wilwood nor SSBC have discs in the 5 on 5.5 truck pattern.

Open a Photobucket account and copy/paste pictures. much easier.

No such thing as old style or new style large bearing. 1961/86 F100/150: There is only one large 9" axle bearing, but there are two other 9" axle bearings used in F100/150's.

1957/60 F100 9's use the medium duty axle bearing (B7A-1225-A / Stamped w/BIN: 2-3538).

1961/67 F100 9's use the large bearing, as do some 1968/72's.

Some 1968/72 F100 9's have 31 spline axleshafts and a 9 3/8" ring gear. Only 5 parts are the same as a 9: One pinion bearing and cup, housing gasket, pinion seal, pilot bearing retainer.

EVERYTHING else is different including the axle bearings!

1973 F100 9's have the large axle bearing as do some 1974/79 F100/150's.

Some 1974/79 F100/150 9's have an axle bearing/seal combination (D4AZ-1225-A / Stamped w/BIN: U-399-A). There's no way to know until the axle is pulled.

1980/86 F100/150 9's have the large bearing.

D8AZ-1225-C (replaced C9AZ-1225-A & C1SZ-1225-A) .. Large Axle Bearing.

Large axle bearing could be stamped w/any of the following BIN's: F-208-HL or 88128 or 208 or FPP or F208AKK

BIN: Bearing Industry Number: What autoparts stores, bearing suppliers go by.

717594 = 1965, assembled July 1965 / But, July 1965 was not the last month of 1965 production, August was.

AXLE code: 08 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.50-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity / 28 spline axleshafts / LARGE axle bearings.

But, 47 years have passed by, so who knows if the rear axle is the original...or not?

And btw: A = Ford type 3.03 Medium Duty 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission. The Light Duty 3.03 was only used w/the 240 I-6.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).
