Just bought a 1964 F100 with the VIN F10JK558770. Trying to get as much information as I can before we get started with the project. The FTE VIN Decoder didn't work. Thanks in advance for the help, Josh
Welcome to FTE. Post the rest of the information from your warranty plate and we can tell you more about how your truck was equipped when it left the factory. From the VIN we can get: F10 = F100 2 wheel drive truck. J = 223 cubic inch I-6, 1 bbl engine. K = built in Kansas City. 558770 = built in June, 1964. Enjoy your new truck!
Well, I can do much of it for you, but I'm short a little information so I'll give you what I can and Number Dummy or someone else can clean up after me. 114 = your wheelbase in inches. DM = two tone exterior paint. M = Wimbledon White. I'm guessing the D = some shade of blue, but I could be wrong. I don't have the '64 truck color chart - the '64 car color is Dynasty Green Metallic. In '66 D truck = Peacock Blue. In '62 it's Starlight Blue. For what it's worth (i.e., nothing). F100 = 5000 pound GVW rated half ton truck. 181 = again I'm short of information. In '66 it would be grey vinyl upholstery in a Standard Cab. May or may not be right for you. A = 3 speed manual light duty transmission. 12 = 3.89 gears in a Ford 9 inch non-limited slip differential. 5000 = Gross Vehicle Weight rating. 114 @ 3600 = your engine's NET horsepower rating and the rpms where achieved. 65 = Oklahoma City, District Sales Office from where your truck was initially ordered. Good luck!

Reason: left out something
Thanks a bunch Sabre...On the color code, I was able to Google 1964 F100 Color Codes and although D does NOT = Caribbean Turquoise...it definitely appears to be that color. I saw the Dynasty Green for the car codes, but it's definitely not that color.
I'm at a loss for the interior, since he replaced the original bench with one out of a Toyota.
I'm too as there's no D color code listed for 1964 trucks or Econolines.
Assembly line worker may have stamped the wrong code on the Warranty Plate. After looking at pic, it doesn't appear to be Caribbean Turquoise, as it looks like a pastel green shade.
1965 trucks assembled in Canada for the Canadian market: D = Ivy Green.
