I am wanting to flush my coolant with Restore and replace coolant with Rotella ELC. My question is, that my buddy owns a shop and has a coolant flush machine. Can i put the Restore in, run it for a few hours, then flush with many gallons of distilled water using the flush machine, then flush in my new coolant with the flush machine since it pulls out the old and pumps the new right into the coolant system?
It is good to get the eng/coolant system up to operating tmeps. Even in the 200-220 ECT temp range will really hlep aid in cleaning the system out.
If coolant flush machine fully circulates the entire 6.0L coolant system, and all of the fluid has been removed from the system by the time the NEW distilled water and coolant mix is in the system. Then it should be fine.
Yeah the machine pulls everything out and replaces it with whatever you put it in machines tank and pumps it back in the motor. You pull the upper radiator hose, put a fitting in the upper radiator hose that pulls the fluid out, then you clamp a fitting on the radiator and the machine pumps your fluid back in. I figured to run the Restore in it for a couple hours, then flush 20 or 30 gallons of distilled water through it, then fill it with Rotella ELC.
Where can you get the Restore stuff? i cant seem to find it locally...
