Not sure what it'll sell for, but that sure is one pretty truck! Wouldn't mind making a bid for it if I had the money. The dark brown in the middle is the color I'm painting my truck.
I know a lot of members will disagree with the statement towards the bottom "Ford trucks of this era were given extensive rust and corrosion protection and have proven to be long lasting vehicles". They ARE long lasting but some are really rusty.
Overall that is one nice looking truck though, not perfect but it looks like it's been well cared for.
The whole description is classic "oversell". Your rust point is dead on, its the ONLY reason I sold my 76 F250 long ago. Chicago winters took a real toll on the cab corners and floor pans.

Although no vehicle is rust proof, I think that most would admit that the 77 thru 79 Ford pickups had quite a bit more rust protection than earlier models. I think that the plastic front inner fender liners are a good example. That EBay truck looked pretty nice to me, I`d love to find a 73-79 PU that was garaged since new, optioned the way I wanted, for a great price, but thats extremely unlikely to happen. For a 33 year old truck, thats a pretty good survivour in my eyes.

There's one on e-bay right now with a buy it now price of $18,995.00!
See the post "Nice E-bay Find" by Famousamos for a link to the truck.
This truck apparently didn't sell at $3000.00 so now it is back on for $5000.00 or get this: a buy it now of $11,995. So far no fool has bid that much for an old work truck.
i agree, these trucks are nice but aren't going to fetch a high price because they are not in a demand as a collector yet, once that happens then yep, I bet it would go pretty high. i saw one member here wanting to sell one that only had like 2 thousand miles on it, it looks awesome and showroom but i dont see him getting 30,000$ for it or even the NW LOWERED price of 25,000.00. They just are not a collector item yet, but I still love them
When I was younger, I had a 77 F250 super cab. I don't recall if it was a camper special or not. I didn't want to drive such a big engine (gas hog) so I sold it, and kept only my 73 F100. 14 years later, I am now regretting that decision, and wish I would have held on to it...
