Where does the problem lie with the ICP pigtail in the connector itself or in the wires? I'm having a surging/missing issue and I replaced the ICP but not the pigtail. Also had my FICM worked on. Next will be blue spring EBP and ICP pigtail. Just looking for more info on the pigtail.
Thanks
Take a really good look at it, and make sure there is no sign of any fluids/cracks in the plastic.. the rubber connector seals are good, and there is no cracks in the wires that you can see.
check your heatshield tube as well, make sure its not soaked with oil as it can migrate down the wires into the backside of the connector as well.
My surging issues were because my throttle pedal assembly was bad. You can get a replacement one from Ford (recommended) for 137.00 or you can get one from Orielys (not recommended because i had 2 go bad on me in 3 weeks) for 50ish bucks.
Here is what all i replaced:
ICP Sensor
ICP Pigtail
MAP Sensor and cleaned tube
EBP Sensor and cleaned tube
Removed plate in throttle body (which u wont have on yours)
Throttle pedal assembly (finally cured the surging issue)
Well right now I believe it is a FICM issue.. I just got mine back from Ed and it started acting up again. That being said my batteries are shot and possibly caused the issue from the get go
