white smoke
white smoke
i will try to explain this the best i can. sure i will miss something. i got an 03 6.0. 227k miles. truck started to run bad when it would run. checked icp pressure and ipr and found out it was the hpop. put new one in and truck started and ran fine in driveway. havent went for test drive though. the problem is when it starts and runs for a little while its fine but when it gets up to temp and you push the gas it starts smoking, not bad until you get around 3k and floor board it, it will smoke the road out. it smells like fuel. it will burn your eyes. off idle it seems like it has a little miss. my scanner doesnt do cont. test. did electicial test and it passed. it has new egr valve in it also. smoke is like a whiteish gray smoke. when truck is cold it will rev up fine. did get a code of p132b turbo boost cntrl a perf. it also has a new map sensor on it. any ideas would be great. any questions and i will try to answer.
If it's a cracked injector, might get a look at it with this test from the Tech Folder. It's under the no start thread but still a good test:

Injector o-ring (or other failures) can cause a no-start condition. One easy check for injector problems:
Pull the fuse cover under steering wheel with a flat blade screw driver turn the screws 1/4 of a turn. Pull fuses 20 FICM, 40 Fuel pump, and 103 PCM. You might need a fuse puller or needle nose pliers. Be sure there is fuel above the standpipe. If you want pull fuse 40 last and use the fuel pump momentarily to fill the fuel filter housing. Then have someone crank while you watch for bubbles. Do not crank on it for more than 10 seconds max. This is the easiest way to determine mechanical condition of injectors. What happens is combustion gas will come through the pintle seat and into the fuel gallery in the head and up into the filter.

here is an update. i cleaned iat and it was nasty. cant say if it helped any or not. if i mash the pedal off idle it will rev up fine. if i go down on it slowly to 3000 rpm then stomp it its like stomping a old 4 barrel it bogs then it will take off. the only difference is this one smokes.
