That's what it looked like he was using. Thanks.

Hey folks - read the string but the most important answer was missing - "how do I reset the monitor so the damn message stops popping up when I start the truck". Thanks in advance for the help.

Go to the coolant screen in your command center and press and hold the OK button on your steering wheel. Just like resetting your tripometer.

I will have the dealership flush and fill with fresh VC-3.
Sorry, I've been on the road for most of Jan. The VC-8 does increase the Nitrates. Thats what the older coolants needed to have revitilized. The test strips you use to test are looking for any Nitrates in the coolant. If you fail the nitrate test, you need to flush and refill. Hence by adding the VC-8 to your coolant, It will now test positive for nitrates and need to be replaced.

I assume you have resolved this with your dealer. What did they do for you. They should have flushed and refilled your coolant system since it was their mistake.

Yes sir, I took it back the next Monday and the did a flush and fill with the proper coolant. They felt quite bad about it and took good care of me. I have it in writing that the truck got 500 miles on it with the VC-8 in it and that the flushed and filled it. I feel covered if something ever comes up.

Thank you.
