If we post to this site do we get something for our story or are giving our stories to Ford for free to use in their advertizing?
It's just my opinion but, I think any contribution should be paid for if it is used in Ford's ad campaigns. I have never recieved anything that I did not have to pay for from Ford and it would be nice to get some cash from them for a change.
Did you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the forum pages?
"This forum is owned and operated by Internet Brands, Inc., a Delaware corporation. It is not authorized or endorsed by the Ford Motor Company and is not affiliated with the Ford Motor Company or its related companies in any way. Ford® is a registered trademark of the Ford Motor Company."
That covers anything posted here. But as far as the Super Duty story goes, if you want compensation and they aren't willing to give it, then don't give them the story.
I think my question is a valid one, if Ford corporate wants to use an endorsement from an owner of the products they sell they should expect to pay for it, just as they expect us to pay for their products and services. Ford is soliciting our endorsements in a public forum and I have asked if the endorsements will be paid for. Which I do not believe is an unreasonable question. I think that the fact that I have bought their product(s) is endorsement enough and if they want more they should pay for it.
