erractic starting problels
I started a thread a few weeks ago about my 2000 f150 5.4 not starting all the time, thought it may have been the fuel pump, havnt changed that yet because a mechanic had asked if i was using a k&n filter, which i am , he said to clean the maf sensor so i did,seems to of cured the problem, any comment?

It's just one of many mod's that accomplishes little or nothing, over and above appearance. Many aftermarket filters require a spray on film of light oil to trap small micron dirt. This film can get sucked into the duct work and coat the MAF. Normal use, with even a stock filter may do this after many miles of driving.
